"Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana."

This week has been great so far! I don’t have much time to write today, so I have to tell the awesome things!

| Emily (in the middle) is going on a mission to Texas, and yesterday was her birthday! She decided to spend it with the missionaries. How sweet is that?! |
Our mission does something called mini-missions; we received our mini missionary, and she is awesome! They ran the meeting like a transfer meeting, so when they called our name, they said, "In Dublin 2, Sister Gale and Sister McIntyre will receive Angel Ater." I jumped up and was so excited because we have our own Angel for a solid week! HAHA! It is sooo great! She is awesome. She is a recent convert of 10 months and loves the gospel. We have been able to have some great appointments with her! My favorite was with a less-active the other day, and we were teaching her about fasting. We asked Sister Ater to talk about it. She said, "Fasting is so great! You give up 2 meals to ask Heavenly Father for something. You can do it whenever you want, for however long you want. Like 2 days, 2 weeks, or even 2 years!..." The best was the look on the less-actives' face. We quickly clarified things, and all was well.

Another great thing happened on Saturday! We have this young woman in our ward that is a super gal. She had a friend that started asking questions about standards, and everything unfolded from there. Her friend came to mutual on Tuesday night, and we had a blast and some great laughs. Well, by the end of the night, she told her friends that she wanted to learn more about the church, and she wanted to come to church on Sunday. So on Saturday, we gave her a chapel tour, and she LOVED it! In the chapel, she asked us when she could be baptized, and she asked us if she could come to all three hours of church, AND she asked us if she could see what a baptism was like. We just laughed and said "Ya!" It was incredible. She came to church and loved it! She is going to mutual this Tuesday, and we are also going to be teaching her this week. It is amazing how the Lord prepares his people!

Well, time is way too short today, but I wanted to close by saying something that has really stood out to me this week. I want everyone to know that you are a son and a daughter of a LOVING Heavenly Father. I know this because I have felt His love. As we read the Book of Mormon, we can know and feel His love for ourselves. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have prayed about it. I know that Joseph Smith is a real prophet called of God because I have studied his fruits. I know this church is true because I feel the Spirit testify of its truthfulness to me.
I am grateful for this gospel and for the light it brings into our lives. I know that if we have questions all we need to do is ask. I love you all so much, and I most definitely love my job!
Sister Gale
